Category Manager - Procurement

Osborne Richardson have a contract opportunity for a Category Manager (Strategic Property) to join a busy and dynamic local authority in East London. You will responsible for a procurement work stream which covers a range of major and strategically significant contracts within a designated Category area of expenditure. You will also be required to support the procurement of externally provided services delivered to, and on behalf of the Council.

To be considered for this role you must be a public sector procurement professional with strong construction category experience and capable of delivering successful framework agreements. You will also be expected to apply your knowledge of contractual law and procurement procedure to produce solutions to meet service demands.

You should have excellent communication skills, knowledge of procuring facility management contracts and good decisions making skills. It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to deliver under pressure and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met.

At this level our client will expect an appropriate degree level qualification and ideally professional accreditation within your field.

This contract will be inside IR35 and the rate offered is up to £380/day and it will initially run until the end of Sept 2020 but could be extended. Please get in touch for further details including a copy of the job spec.
