Job Title: Director of Planning
Location: Newcastle
Salary: Dependent on experience
Due to a successful launch of a brand-new office in Newcastle, our client has put forward an exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Director of Planning. This will be to support their continued growth of their ever-growing portfolio of clients in commercial, mixed use and town centre developments.
Our client is looking for a practised senior level planner with an established track record of delivering on major complex development projects. As part of this role you will be required to build on your existing client relationships and generate new business. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role, working with the Senior Director, to continue to grow the planning team and motivating, developing and managing their performance.
The position requires someone to be capable and comfortable taking a lead role on planning applications, appeals and site promotions.
The successful candidate must:
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in both development management and policy practice;
- Be a Chartered Member of the RTPI;
- Help manage project teams within and outside the office on the client's behalf;
- Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills;
- Have previous private consultancy experience
