Starting Salary £18,987 – £34,802 per annum plus car allowance (depending on skills and experience)

Help us shape our places and your career.

Hertsmere lies within southern Hertfordshire bordering the northern edge of Greater London. We have a unique combination of economic opportunities alongside a diverse townscape, villages and extensive areas of green belt land, meaning the borough provides an exciting opportunity to experience every aspect of the planning system.  Our own offices benefit from being close to both the A1 (M) and M25 whilst Elstree and Borehamwood Station lies within Zone 6 and provides a direct rail link to London St Pancras.

We are in the process of preparing a positive vision for growth within the borough through the preparation of our new Local Plan. We are also working to provide a Joint Strategic Plan for the region and striving to deliver a quality focused Development Management service which meets the needs of existing and future residents.  Our Development Management service is currently working on exciting projects including a brand new TV and film studio development for SKY.

We are looking for a Planning Officer (DM) who has the drive and ambition to help us deliver an excellent service with the aim of being the leading Development Management service in Hertfordshire, alongside a desire to shape and improve the borough. If you think you have what it takes to join our vibrant team please let us know.
