Our Planning teams manage the wide spectrum of the planning systems on behalf of the Company. In an ever-changing planning environment, our teams have experience in influencing the formation of planning policy, strategic land promotion, handling the development management process and implementing community engagement strategies.

You will be supporting/managing the execution of planning strategies, external consultants, the submission of planning applications and delivering immediate or long term planning projects on a variety of scales. As part of this process, you will be involved in partnership working and liaison with a variety of planning authorities, local stakeholders and local residents.  

Reporting to the Planning Manager as part of the Land and Planning Team, to support the collation and submission of information for planning applications and monitor their progress. Also to liaise directly with the planning authority and wider team in progressing applications and discharging conditions.

You will be expected to support / manage:

  • Submission and negotiation of planning applications
  • Liaise directly with - and respond to the comments of - planning authorities and statutory consultees to ensure the successful outcome of the planning application process
  • External consultants involved in the planning applications / promotions
  • Promotion of new opportunities and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
  • The day-to-day promotion of current planning applications
  • Undertake community engagements

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • Someone who has graduated in a planning role or has experience with a local authority, a house builder or private consultancy
  • Knowledge of residential planning
  • Excellent communication skills and interest / experience of team working
  • Possession of a full driving licence
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, self-manage and prioritise your workload
  • Computer literate
