Town Planner or Senior Town Planner - Reading

Based in Reading city centre, a national planning consultancy is looking for at least one Town Planner to join their successful and growing team. Our client prides themselves for their collegiate working environment within the team and their collaborative working ethos with both clients and project team members.

Your schemes will be mainly residential-focused, ranging from large scale strategic land promotion and regeneration projects to smaller scale schemes primarily based across the South East.

Daily Duties:

• Managing applications through the development process, and giving pre-app advice
• Assisting in the review of development plans and doing Local Plan representations
• Participating in public consultation events
• Attending meeting with clients and going on site visits
• Assisting senior colleagues on major schemes and managing own caseload of SME projects

About You:

• At least two years’ experience with a consultancy or LPA environment
• Strong academic background with a fully RTPI accredited degree.
• MRTPI is preferred but not essential if you are on track to submit in the next year (our client has an exceptional track record in assisting team members through their APC.)
• Full driving license
