Role Summary

We are looking for a Planning Assistant to support the management and delivery of town planning projects. The Planning Assistant will, as developer and promoter, support the delivery of development projects and programmes. This will involve assisting members of the Planning Team within our Development Directorate on projects and programmes, including project administration, preparing and submitting planning applications, masterplanning, responding to planning consultations and monitoring planning permissions. The role will be responsible for preparing and submitting a range of planning applications on behalf of the organisation and providing planning advice to project managers. You will take responsibility for specific town planning projects and support and work with colleagues and development partners across the organisation to develop and monitor strategies and plans, and discharge planning conditions and S106 obligations required by planning permissions.
 

The Person

You must have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as Town Planning with some post qualification experience within a town planning environment. It is essential that the successful candidate has demonstrable experience of managing planning projects, applications and obtaining planning consents and has a good knowledge of UK town planning system.
