Graduate Planner roles

Recently graduated, or finding that your new role isn’t as challenging as you thought it would be? My client is looking for two Graduate Planners to join their teams, due to workload growth – and have asked deverellsmith to help find them their next rising stars.

In terms of projects, they work on some of the UK’s biggest schemes – with teams working within a couple of specialist areas – one of the teams’ focusing on commercial, retail and mixed-use schemes, and the other on London residential-led projects. They throw graduates in at the deep-end, expecting high quality work – but giving a good level of responsibility and client-contact from day one – unlike some other consultancies that will not give as much of this autonomy to new employees.

Responsibilities include:

• Dealing with pre-app advice and undertaking policy research
• Writing reports and planning statements
• Submitting planning applications to the planning portal
• Discharging of conditions and dealing with RMAs
• Chasing applications, monitoring responses and monitoring applications
• Attending meetings and writing minutes

You will have:

• Completed your RTPI Accredited Masters
• Some work experience – up to a maximum of 18 months ideally
• A strong academic record
• Excellent communication and writing skills
