We have an opportunity for a Planner - Enforcement within the Planning Development Business Unit. The team sits within the Growth and Regeneration Directorate and plays a significant and pro-active role in helping to support the team in delivering and managing growth for Newark & Sherwood.

We were the first Authority in Nottinghamshire to adopt both a Core Strategy and Allocations and Development Management Policies DPD.  The Authority was also the first in the Country to adopt the Community Infrastructure Levy.

The post of Senior Planner - Enforcement offers an opportunity to support and shape the delivery of our Planning Development Business Unit alongside the existing enforcement team. Whilst the post holder will undertake a wide range of Development Management duties the focus will be upon Enforcement. This will comprise dealing with major, complex, and contentious enforcement cases and assessing the expediency of taking action.  The post holder will also be required to sign off applications and cases and defend the Authority’s decisions at appeal.

Interviews will take place week commencing 3rd February 2020
