Senior Planning Policy Officer

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Sussex in the search for a Senior Planning Policy Officer to join their Town Planning department on an initial 6 month contract.
The council are looking for support in order to develop and progress with their Local Plan. Although this is not an exhaustive list, responsibilities will include coordinating extensive consultation exercises through liaison with community groups and strategic partners. Draft technical planning policy documents in conjunction with updating and revising existing documents.

It would also be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI. 

This contract will last for an initial 6 month period, however, it is likely that this will roll on.

The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running and are offering flexible working hours.

Carrington West Pay Rate - £35per/hour (DOE)
