Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst
Salary: Band 9 (£42,158 up to £47,082)
Hours: 37 per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Management Team Leader to join the Planning Service at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst.
It is an exciting time to join the New Forest, with a new Local Plan there will be a significant number of strategic housing sites coming forward over the next few years, this will represent the most significant level of growth in the District for 3 decades or more. These sites will require careful project management and a clear direction in order to bring the sites forward successfully.
As Development Management Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effective management of one of the two area Teams that deals with all types of applications appeals and planning compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring high performance and effective management of your team as well as providing motivation, leadership and supporting team member to ensure proper understanding of the material planning issues and proving informal training as required.
In response to this step change in the growth strategy for the District we are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking proactive planner who will work as part of the wider team to drive customer focus and continuous improvement through everything we do
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a recognised degree or post graduate qualification in planning and at least five years' relevant planning experience two of which should be at a senior level.
