Tree Officer

As the interim Tree Inspector at the council you will have the to provide a professional arboriculture service in respect of the management of the Council's tree stock with the aim of fulfilling the Council's statutory duties and conserving and enhancing the stock's asset value.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake a programme of pro-active and planned inspections of Council tree stock, record un-plotted trees, assess tree condition and ensure their health and safety, in accordance with the Council's statutory and tree management policy obligations.

The Ideal Candidate and requirements

To be successful for this role you will need to have sufficient experience of contributing to Environmental Services and to have worked in a similar position.

If you have experience working on planning software such as IDOX or Uniform this will be desirable

Salary Range and Working Arrangements

As the interim Tree Inspector at the council you will receive an hourly rate of between £32-£39/h depending on experience however this can be negotiated, please note that this role is Inside IR35.

This contract is a full time position of 37 hours per week over the 3 month initial duration with the council offering up to 1 day a week home working after the first month of working at the council.
