Job Details
One of my clients in the South East are looking for an Urban Designer to assist them for an initial contract of 6 months, with the likely potential for extension. My client will consider part-time hours and can offer flexible working arrangements. This role is OUTSIDE IR35 and rates are dependant on experience.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of urban design related evidence base studies, such as character assessments and urban design audits / appraisals
- Identification of policy approaches and responses to improve urban design outcomes in existing and new developments, and the public realm
- The generation of creative, inspired and implementable design concepts, having regard to relevant planning policies and site specific characteristics and stakeholder aspirations and needs
- Urban design advice on Pre-application and applications to developers, Cabinet, Committees, public consultation events, public inquiries and public examinations amongst others
- Procurement of consultants, including the preparation of project briefs and contracts, the monitoring and management of contracts and liaison with consultants in the delivery of projects.
It would be beneficial if you had previous Architechural experience, as well as experience using AutoCad.
