Alex Ashman
Full Time
Contract Type

We are working with a local authority in the North West who are urgently seeking a Principal Planner to join their team, to assist during a busy period and due to the absence of permanent members of staff.

This role will involve working on a mixed caseload of applications, from more minor proposals, up to some larger more complex sites up to max 50 units. It is anticipated that this contract will last 3 months, but it is likely to roll on beyond this dependent upon performance.

Rates for this position are between £35-£40 an hour depending on your experience and this council are open to flexible working arrangements.

Ideally you will have experience in local authority planning (DM) and be able to hit the ground running with a caseload of applications. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team of Planners on a contract basis, with the potential for the role to be extended well into the New Year.

The manager is looking to conduct telephone interviews and face to face interviews at short notice for a start ideally ASAP, though they will wait for the right candidate.

If you would like more information on this position, or others we are working on in the area, please get in touch with us on 020 3795 4835, or email

We do not advertise all of our vacancies, especially if we have suitable candidates in mind to undertake the work we get in. To get the best chance at securing the perfect contract for you, let us know your preferences and we will be happy to call you when we find a position that you may be interested in.
