I am working with a number of fantastic authorities in the South West, who are looking to bring on-board Planning professionals for contracts ranging from 6-9 months. Roles are available for suitable candidates to start immediately and the clients can offer flexible working and a degree of working from home.

Duties will include:
  • Overseeing applications ranging from minors to majors in DM positions
  • Mixed caseload of investigations in Enforcement positions
  • Fascinating roles working on Local Authority local plans.
  • Provision of paid pre-application advice to developers, architects and external consultants.
  • Co-ordinate and independently carry out site visits and prepare detailed reports.
  • Negotiate finalise and discharge conditions
  • Mentor junior members of staff.


Candidate's Required Experience:
  • Several years' of experience within Local Authorities.
  • MRTPI would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience of a varied caseload.
  • Private Sector experience is considered.
  • Ability to drive and access to own car.


Working Arrangements:
  • Rates would be around £25-£45 per hour.
  • Roles are most likely to be inside IR35 however some clients are open to evaluating this.
  • A compressed working week and remote working is available with some authorities
