Great opportunity for a post graduate Town Planner to join an established private consultancy in Northampton!
My client are a company of Chartered Surveyors, Estate Agents and Town Planners located at several offices across England including the Home Counties, Manchester, Birmingham and London. They have been operating from Northamptonshire for over 35 years, creating a strong brand and good reputation for quality service.
This role's main function is to support the more senior planning professionals on a day-to-day basis. This includes planning research; preparation of reports for site appraisals, planning applications and appeals; site visits and meeting with clients; and collating and submission of planning applications and appeals.
Key Requirements
- Town Planning Degree
- 2 to 5 years relevant work experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work both individually and as part of a team
- Have the ability to use common IT packages (such as Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Hold a full Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle
Main Responsibilities
- To undertake a fee earning role as a Town Planning Consultant for existing and new clients
- To support the Planning Team on a range of projects
- To attend meetings as necessary
- To work towards meeting the requirements for becoming a Member of the RTPI (if not already accredited)
- To work in accordance with my clients Business Management System and Quality Management Principles
- To liaise with the Directors, Associates and other staff as necessary and promoting work through the Group
- Adherence to the culture and values of the company generally.
Salary is competitive + bonus and benefits.
