Your new role

For this role you will need to inspect sites and evaluate the proposals and sustainability of the building for structural alterations. You will also need to be able to assist and train building control surveyors on building matters.

As well as inspect surveyors in other local authorities when working under partnership schemes as partner authority. In addition, you will need to understand and manage dangerous structure contractors


What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be chartered with RICS/CABE or equivalent.

For this role you will need thorough knowledge of of the building regulations and related legislation. You will also need to demonstrate abilities and expert knowledge in structural engineering, fire safety, access and facilities for the disabled and knowledge on building services.

You also need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team and provide customer orientated services in a responsible and professional manner.
