Senior Planner

Due to a permanent member of staff having moved on from the authority, my client is looking for an interim Senior Development Management Planner for a period of at least three months, most likely 6.

They are looking to appoint at candidate who can take on a full range of minor applications unassisted as well as smaller majors; up to 20 units, potentially as large as 50 unit applications.

The client will consider an experienced Planning Officer looking to make the step up.

Strong report writing and communication skills are essential.

Applicants need to be able to drive and have access to their own car for site visits, however the client is happy with site visits one day every or every other week, so hiring a car could be a consideration.

Rates for this position will be £35 - £37.50/h inside IR35.

It is their strong preference to have someone in the office five days per week, however for the right candidate they will consider one day working from home, they may also consider full time hours, compressed into four days, with one from home.

The client is hoping to interview and appoint as quickly as possible, but understands that applicants will likely need to provide notice to their current employer.
