Planning Associate Director
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with one of the top four UK Planning consultancies who have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, commercially minded Associate Director to join the busy Manchester team.
You may be looking for the next step in your career or perhaps already operating at this level and looking for further recognition. Working as part of a larger team, you'll often be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality projects to meet your clients' expectations and to help further expand the business.
Operating within what is a constantly fluctuating and diverse market you'll be professionally challenged and given the opportunity to further progress your career whilst being a key team member who will help shape the Planning consultancy moving forward.
Your Role
Providing unrivalled professional and technical advice, you'll maintain and develop long-standing relationships with clients in key development sectors. You will be able to operate independently and able to assist the more junior members of the team with their continued development. The role involves all aspects of infrastructure and development planning and you will have the opportunity to be involved in multi-disciplinary projects ranging in size.
About You
-Educated to degree level or equivalent, and a member or fellow of RTPI or RICS.
-You'll bring to the role proven experience and a sound knowledge in the field of Town Planning.
-You'll have knowledge of Local Authority procedures and protocols when managing large infrastructure projects as well as a solid track record delivering a 'duty to co-operate' with neighbouring authorities.
-You'll have excellent knowledge of the planning system, NSIP's and the ability to process planning applications for major residential and commercial developments.
-You'll be capable of providing an assessment of detailed and technical documents such as transport or environmental impact statements that support planning applications.
-Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential to successfully manage all aspects of planning applications and liaison with internal and external clients.
