Are you in the process of becoming a chartered Town Planner or recently qualified looking to progress? Our client are a well established consultancy who are going through a period of growth and as such have a need to expand the team.



The role

As a Town Planner, your role will be to provide high quality planning advice to public and private sector clients within a team of commercial and professional property experts.

The planning and development services includes:

  • Strategic planning advice and development consultancy
  • Identifying development opportunities & site acquisition
  • Marketing, bid guidance and assistance (compliant where necessary with the Charities Act 2011)
  • Affordable Housing and Development Viability
  • Structuring development agreements and disposal advice
  • Development Agency
  • Sale negotiation through to completion
  • Major planning applications
  • Regeneration
  • Advice on Build to Rent and PRS
  • Appeals
  • S106 Negotiations
  • Planning and development appraisals
  • Listed building and conservation advice




The ideal candidate will be able to show an understanding of client's needs on a range of projects in both the commercial, residential and not for profit sectors.

Duties will include but are not limited to; Attending meetings with clients/local planning authorities and other stakeholders; Attending site visits; Provision of professional advice (in writing and verbally) to clients; Research and analysis of relevant planning policy (National, Regional and Local); Assisting with submitting and monitoring planning applications and appeals, and ensuring their timely delivery.



You will be Chartered member of the RTPI will have between 1 and 3 years post-university planning experience in the private or public sector as well as
