Wardell Armstrong are pleased to be offering exciting Senior opportunities within the Planning and Environment teams in Stoke and Manchester, our projects are primarily infrastructure and utilities development, waste and energy, minerals and strategic housing projects.
Our Planners are involved in shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies, preparing planning applications and appeals, site appraisals, development plan representations, planning project management, providing advice and guidance on planning and land use to a variety of clients. For this role we would ideally be seeking a Chartered Town Planner with a good Town Planning degree to be based from our Stoke office.
Working closely with the Planners, the EIA Consultants are responsible for screening, scoping and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments, working with internal and external specialists and environmental stakeholders. From our Manchester office you will be involved in the preparation and delivery of planning applications for a wide variety of infrastructure and development projects, in addition to assisting with financial monitoring of project/budget management. As the successful applicant, you will hold a degree in an environmental related discipline and ideally (although not essential) a second degree in Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Management. Plus possess good knowledge of the UK planning system and EIA Regulations.
Candidates must demonstrate a good level of technical competency, and quality of work, together with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The roles will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales, and ability to problem solve is critical. You will have the opportunity to grow your experience and skills in working closely with other specialists and within a supportive team environment.
