A unique opportunity has become available for a chartered Town Planner to join an expanding organisation in Newcastle. You will be joining an established city centre office and team of planning consultants who offer a friendly and supportive working environment. We have a lot of flexibility with this role and whilst the preference is for a full time, permanent recruit, we can also consider part time/reduced hours or a fixed-term arrangement.

Planning is a core service for this organisation so you will be joining an excellent support network of like-minded town planners who have an excellent name in the industry and fab clients. The work is really interesting and will see you getting involved in city centre regeneration work, residential, mixed-use and commercial schemes as well as infrastructure projects. The work includes some development management led work but also strategy and development plan led work so a really interesting mix.

We are looking for a chartered town planner (MRTPI) ideally at senior planner level but there is flexibility for a planner level appointment for the right person. Experience of both policy and development management would be advantageous as would a mix of both public and private sector experience. You need to be confident in client facing environments and in your project management ability. The team are very busy so are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude and an eagerness to learn new skills.
