Local Plan Lead

This 6 - 12 month+ contract provides an outstanding opportunity for someone with an extensive background in planning policy to take the lead role in the development of a Local Plan, without people management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be the lead officer for the Council's Local Plan and will need to have excellent knowledge and experience with all aspects of the Local Plan, including housing land supply, leading a Local Plan through the examination process and working with members in challenging situations and scenarios.

Applicants are expected to be MRTPI and be available to attend all required meetings (including in the evening), although 1-2 days home working per week is allowed.

This contract will be for an initial 6 month period, but there is every likelihood that this will extend to 12 months more more.

Rates will range between £45 and £55/h, inside IR35.
