Job Details
Your role:
This is a key role within the council’s planning policy service involving work on the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework, Local Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents, guiding and assisting neighbourhood forums, preparing and appraising evidence, consulting and engaging key stakeholders and communities, supporting the development management service and proactively helping to support growth and housing in the borough.
About you:
You will be a positive and enthusiastic planner with a degree in town planning or related discipline and membership of (or eligibility for) the RTPI. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of planning and the role of planning policy specifically, in enabling growth and housing, and an understanding of the development process and viability issues. You will be creative, have good research and investigative skills, be a good communicator, self-organised and collaborative. You will help make good development happen.
