Assistant Planner – Property Developer

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the countries leading independent property developers. Based in a new London office, they boast an impressive portfolio of work and currently seek a Graduate/Assistant Town Planner to assist across all of their land and planning activities, from site identification, to land promotion and securing planning permission.

The successful candidate will become part of a close-knit, busy team and work all aspects of the planning process from inception through to completion including, the preparation of planning applications and public consultation to strategic land searching and local plan promotion.

Some key responsibilities will include:

• Providing advice on planning and development matters specific to housing
• Responsible for preparing and submitting planning applications for both strategic and immediate sites, of varying scales and complexity
• Be involved with the commercial aspects of housing development, negotiating S106 agreements and liaising with landowners, solicitors and agents.

The Planner will have a minimum of 12 months of developer or consultancy experience. The role will be both autonomous and collaborative, which will suit a planner that has been exposed to residential development and who is looking to progress their career with an innovative firm.
