An exemplary consultancy in Southampton with a fantastic client following is seeking TWO GRADUATE or ASSISTANT PLANNERS to join them in delivering their exciting mix of projects across residential development, new settlements including one of the government's Garden Villages, waterfront developments, retail schemes, educational establishments, masterplans and much more.

In a move to bring in a fresh generation of planners, my client is seeking to make 3 appointments, 2 of which will be at Graduate or Assistant/Planner level. To be considered for one of these positions, you should meet the following requirements:

- a Masters degree in Planning or Urban Design (RTPI accredited);

- already working in Planning, or evidence of some work experience gained in Planning environment;

- working towards MRTPI chartership, or in a position to become a chartered planner;

- a desire to work in a fast paced consultancy environment;

- the capability to manage your own small projects and be client facing;

- a desire to progress your career and work towards promotions and greater responsibility;

- have a driving licence or be in the process of learning to drive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner at the early stages of their career looking for a change, or a Graduate who has just completed their Masters, has gained some work experience and is looking for their first formal position.

The company already has several qualified and experienced planners who can share their vast array of experience and offer excellent mentoring. You will be guided through the RTPI chartership pathway and will be assisted in managing your own projects from the start. You will be given plenty of autonomy and independence whilst also being drawn in to assist on large scale schemes, attend client and site meetings with senior staff and be encouraged to take on new projects resulting from the regular call in's received into the office. You will also be encouraged to network and be an ambassador for the company at events and conferences.

The office environment is open, bright and friendly. Everyone sits in the same large room, so you will be surrounded by colleagues throughout the day. They also operate a flexible approach to working, so occasional working from home and having control over your diary to allow for efficient working is all part of the culture.

If you think this sounds like a company you could work for, please get in touch today for further information!
