As the newest kids on the block and with offices now opened in London and Birmingham, we are one of the most exciting and dynamic town planning consultancies to launch in 2019. CarneySweeney is built on bedrock of diversity and collaboration and provides thorough, bespoke planning and development services, within a hardworking but informal team environment.
We are actively looking to identify people to join and expand our current two hub offices. We have a number of posts for Planning Director, Associate Director/Associate and Principal needing to be filled.
Planning Directors (Central London) - With private sector consultancy experience operating across a mix of residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use planning sectors, you will be part of a wider CarneySweeney team that together will be one of the leading independent Central London planning consultancies. The current CarneySweeney team is expanding and this is an unique opportunity to join a new practice at the early stages of its development. You will already be an established Central London Planning Director who has expertise in client management, business development, planning strategy, project management and delivering successful planning permissions.
Associate/Associate Director (Central London and Birmingham) - This is a great opportunity to join either hub office and be a part of a progressive team with ambitions to establish a leading national planning consultancy. CarneySweeney’s Directors have a proven track record of building and running national planning consultancies and you will benefit from that knowledge whilst being encouraged to establish yourself as a future Director. We are looking to encourage those individuals already operating in the private sector planning consultancy sector with a high degree of credibility and proven success. This proven success need not be reflective of your current job title. You will be given the chance to develop your own network of client contacts whilst being helped by more established Directors to win new work. Together we will help you develop a network of contacts in client organisations, strategic partners and other collaborators to win and deliver your own work. You will also be supported by and work closely with colleagues across the two offices including other Associate Directors and resource managers. However, your focus should always be on client care and ensuring there is a proper balance between delivering projects and alongside developing new opportunities and career promotion.
Principal Planners (Central London and Birmingham) - This is a unique opportunity to join us at an early stage, help shape our growth and be part of something that you can take pride in. Principal Planner roles in the future will be filled internally through the development and promotion of our staff. You will serve a wide area covering the Midlands, South and London. The roles will include assisting in business development, profile building, as well as provide planning advice and guidance on a broad spectrum of project portfolios. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 6 years' professional experience, ideally across client organisations, and/or public or private sectors. You should have experience of different types of land uses and development scenarios.
