Senior Level Town Planner
Southampton
£35,000 to £55,000 + Full Benefits
Seen as one of the largest private consultancies in the UK my client is currently looking for a Senior Town Planner to join a specialist town planning division that is solely focused towards clients within the public sector and in particular working on projects that will involve the development control process. The long term objective for this position is to allow the planner to head up the division and run the project from inception through to completion getting involved in training and business development.
To apply you will be currently working at a Senior Planner level such as (Principal Town Planner, Associate Town Planner or Planning Manager) and demonstrate a complete understanding of the development control process from both the Public and Private point of view.
You will act as a mentor to other members of the planning division and will liaise with the client offering your expertise and guidance on all aspects of the project including dealing with site visits and organising complete environmental appraisals.
Getting involved in business development you will need to delegate tasks to other members of the team as well as working closely with other sections of the company.
Ideally with at least a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience working all aspects of planning. You will have ideally come from the private sector, will drive and hold your full RTPI membership.
