Principal Planner - Outside IR35

I am currently working with a Kent-based Local Authority who are looking for a Planning Consultant on an initial 3 month contract, with great likelihood to roll for 9 months plus.

About the role

As a Principal Planner, you will be held responsible for a caseload of complex development proposals (large and small) within both urban and rural contexts. This may also involve the discharging of planning conditions, section 73 and section 96a applications, FOI's and Member enquiries.

You will be expected to produce committee reports and present to the various council committees whilst producing all forms of planning appeals (informal, written and public enquiry).

The rate on offer will vary depending on your experience. THIS OPPORTUNITY HAS BEEN DEEMED OUTSIDE SCOPE OF IR35!



About you

You will ideally be a full Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and be qualified to degree level in Town Planning or a relevant discipline, whilst having significant working experience in Development Management within a Local Authority.

You will have a desire to upkeep excellent knowledge of the planning process and legislation whilst being able to demonstrate an ability to effectively prioritise work-loads and manage projects within timescales.
