Job Details

This is a full time post assisting the Planning Enforcement Team Leader in the delivery of an effective and efficient planning enforcement service.
Duties will include:
- Investigating breaches in planning legislation
- Process Appeals
- Managing and coordinating site visits
- Dealing with telephone enquiries from members of the public and elected Members
- Drafting witness statements
- Carrying out the Council’s duties in line with its Local Enforcement Plan
Successful candidates will have experience within a Local Planning Authority within a development management or planning enforcement role. Significant planning enforcement experience dealing with a range of complex cases is essential.
Furthermore you will have a thorough knowledge of UK planning legislation, enforcement procedures and have excellent communication skills.
You should have a degree in planning or a related subject. Chartered membership of the RTPI is desirable. A driving licence valid to drive in the UK and use of own vehicle during working hours is essential in order to carry out site visits across the district
