As a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner you will be working for one of Europe's leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancies, a consultancy that continually strive to improve themselves by adhering to their guiding principles.



You will hold an MSc qualification in transport planning or be degree qualified in a relevant planning, engineering or geography discipline. In this role, based from either the Bristol, Manchester or Glasgow office, you will provide a range of planning and infrastructure services related to transport with involvement in property, energy and environmental projects across the UK.



Drawing on your 2 to 5 years' experience within a development transport planning role from a consultancy environment, you will use your understanding of planning and transport policy and knowledge of the relevant highway standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual for Streets to prepare and review Transport Assessments, undertake traffic flow analysis and junction modelling to prepare Travel Plans with good knowledge of delivery and monitoring practices.



Your Strong analytical skill will aid you in carrying out preliminary highway design, Traffic data collection, analysis and presentation, inputting traffic data into Environmental Impact Assessments, carrying out negotiations with local planning and highway authorities and assisting in the preparation of evidence for public inquiries will all be second nature to you.



Knowledge of transport modelling related software packages e.g. Junctions 8, Transyt, Linsig as well as your understanding and experience of GIS software will be beneficial to you in this role.
