Development Management Planning Officer
*Ongoing Contract* *£23-25 per hour*
Are you looking for a new challenge based in South London London as well as a varied case load?
The Authority, is currently looking to recruit for a Development Management (DM) planner to assist with a mix case load of applications, including Households and small minors, for an initial 6month month period, with a view to move to an ongoing contract as there is an ongoing need in the team
The suitable candidate would need to have working knowledge of dealing with planning applications and also have dealt a large case load of applications (the client would consider both candidates with UK and non UK planning back grounds)
The work load is varied and would range from, but not limited to;
Assessing all types of householder and minor planning and associated applications including site visit (generally unaccompanied), consultation, negotiation written report and recommendation to agreed timescale, deal with planning enquiries from agents, applicants and the public, Give pre-application planning advice for householder and similar minor development
The candidate would need to have a relevant planning degree for this position.
The contract would be for an initial 6 months with a view to be an ongoing contract. Rates for the position range from £23-£25 per hour based upon experience
