Job Details
An independent and respected central London Planning Consultancy is looking to appoint an exceptional Associate Director / Director to join the existing highly talented Planning team.
The company
My client specialises in securing consents for both small and large scale, often complex and / or controversial retail, residential, commercial and leisure development schemes across the UK.
They have a forward strategy to grow over the coming years to capitalise on the expansion within the housing and mixed-use sector, consolidating their position as a leading retail expert and secure increasingly high complexity instructions to re-affirms the firm's brand and status in the London market.
The team
The Planning team comprises of several highly experienced Directors, Senior Planners & Planners along with a highly capable support team in place to minimise admin allowing you to maximise your time on direct planning related work/fee winning.
The role
The role will require you to initiate and develop effective strategies and contribute to related brainstorming sessions. You will liaise with clients and professional teams to provide direction and respond to problems where appropriate. The role will require you will chair meetings, lead negotiations with LPA's and others on relevant projects. You will provide good quality, persuasive assessments and statements, and effective advice while working to client deadlines. Working closely with the existing Directors you will identify and pursue opportunities for beneficial new instructions, preparing convincing and attractive fee proposals. In addition, you will naturally be expected to encourage and support junior staff members.
The successful candidate
The successful Associate Director will hold substantial private sector experience within London. A strong understanding of planning law, the framework, local planning policy are required along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
