Senior Landscape Planner/Architect
Bristol
Permanent, full-time (flexibility offered)
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the UK's leading Planning & Design Consultancies on the hire of a Senior Landscape Planner/Architect to their central Bristol office.
Our client has an established and busy Bristol Landscape team who are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Planner/Architect to develop their career through a wide range of high-quality experience, on projects varying in scale and sector, at various stages through the planning process.
The focus of the role is on providing Landscape Planning input to inform design, as well as reporting on landscape/townscape and visual impact. The successful candidate should have excellent technical skills, comprehensive knowledge of landscape and visual appraisal techniques, including, best-practice assessment methodologies, and a working knowledge of the current planning system.
The candidate would also ideally be experienced in undertaking, writing and preparing:
- Landscape and visual impact assessments
- Townscape and visual impact assessments and tall building assessment
- Landscape and visual impact assessment chapter for inclusion in Environmental Statements
- Preliminary landscape and visual appraisals to inform the development process
- Strategic assessments of landscape designated land such as Green Belts and Strategic Gaps
- Landscape Capacity Studies
In order to apply for this role, you will hold a relevant qualification and ideally experience from the South West. Relocation candidates are however also encouraged to apply. You should have a broad interest in both strategic landscape planning and landscape design. It would be advantageous if you were a chartered member of the landscape institute. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, be confident with strong communication skills. Finally, you will hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel.
