A North West based Local Planning Authority are in the market for a Planning Officer, for an initial 3-month contract with a view to extend.
The council are offering a lucrative contract of £25-£33 an hour, which will be for a minimum of 3 months, most likely rolling on after that. Our council are also set up for multiple days homeworking and can offer flexible working arrangements.
The role will involve working predominantly on Householder applications.
Successful candidates will have practical experience as a Development Management Planner assisting with the delivery and implementation of Local Plans, managing external consultants and coordinating consultation exercises. You will have excellent written and communication skills with a degree in Town & Country Planning or an affiliated subject.
The ideal Planner will be self-sufficient and be able to work effectively independently and must be able to work efficiently and complete work to a high standard.
