Associate Director - Town Planning

Are you an experienced senior Town Planner looking for a new challenge? Randstad CPE please to be working with one of the UK's largest independant Town Planning consultancies, who due to a period of organic growth are currently looking for an Associate Director to join the Sheffield team.



The Sheffield office is located within the city centre with a team of 17 professional staff who work throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the north of England on a wide range of projects for both public and private sector clients.


You will be responsible for:
1. Managing projects/clients. Associate Directors report to the Office Directors whilst winning new instructions for which they have a large measure of responsibility;

2. Manage the workload of junior professional staff members, assisting them on individual projects; and

3. Undertake marketing and business development activities (existing network of contacts would be beneficial).



Person profile





We are looking for someone with a minimum 7 years planning experience, some of which must of been spend in the private sector. You will be able to manage competing demands on their time and prioritise tasks for themselves and others. Good interpersonal skills, a "can do" attitude and the ability to work in a team is essential. A key aspect of the role is to provide excellent planning advice/strategy whist conveying/managing risks. The candidate will be self-motivated and have a focus on business development in order to expand their own network of clients.



A drivers licence and RTPI Membership is essential.
