Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an awarding-winning independent Planning and Development consultancy, who are looking for talented and experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team of highly skilled experts in the beautiful town of Tewkesbury. There has never been a better time to join this consultancy, as they are undergoing a major overhaul and are expected to double, maybe even triple in size by this time next year. As the successful Town Planner, you will be undertaking the following duties:
- Managing projects involving planning applications and appeals, providing accurate and efficient advice to clients.
- Investing in the development of a range of sites and projects and assessing sites for development suitability.
- Demonstrating an ability to marshal evidence in support of the planning projects.
- Demonstrating a positive, proactive attitude with the drive to meet client expectations and promote the business through the use of marketing and networking skills.
Qualifications and experience required:
- An MRTPI or equivalent qualification;
- At least 2-3 years of planning experience working within a private consultancy or local authority.
- General knowledge and understanding of the South West and the surrounding area, however, this is not essential.
- The ability to work independently and liaise with the rest of the team effectively.
