Job Details
Our client is an independent firm of Rural Chartered Surveyors, Planning Consultants and Farm Business Consultants operating across the West & East Midlands, South West, and Wales. They offer a wide range of professional services and advice to a predominantly farming and rural client base.
As a fast growing, dynamic business with exciting prospects, they strive to provide outstanding service and high level of professionalism whilst offering a friendly, relaxed working environment with flexible working hours.
With an exciting portfolio of work, they are seeking to recruit a Principal Planning Consultant to join the ambitious team. You will be supported whilst establishing yourself as the 'go-to' person in the area, developing your own business and contacts - with a budget. With excellent prospects, you will lead the planning team on technical matters, and be given administrative and financial resource to achieve these goals.
Your role will include: providing strategic and practical advice and recommendations to clients, project managing planning schemes including instruction of and liaison regarding supporting documentation, producing and submitting planning applications and appeals, dealing with s106 issues, assisting and guiding other members of the team and actively engaging in business development.
You will be working on a range of project types including: residential schemes (small and medium size), land promotion, certificates of lawfulness, enforcement work, planning appeals, barn conversion schemes, affordable residential schemes, live/work schemes, commercial developments, permitted development applications, sport and leisure, rural business and farm diversification.

-RTPI qualified although this is not essential
