Senior Planning Officer (Development Management)



*£35-37 Negotiable* *Outer London Borough* *6months +



Are you looking for a new role based in East London / Essex? Our client are a Local Authority who are currently looking to appoint a Senior Planning Officer on an initial 4-6month month contract, which has the option for further extensions.

The position is to play a key role in a project to remove a planning application backlog. You must have good experience of dealing with the public including in potentially confrontational situations and be to organise work- loads and meet all timescales and project milestones.



The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of the criteria listed below:

Degree in a Planning related discipline

Excellent technical knowledge of the Town Planning system

Demonstrable knowledge of provision of administrative processes relating to the processing of planning applications

Planning experience in a consultancy or local government environment



Ideally you will have some UK planning experience although consideration will be given to applicants with non UK experience who can demonstrate the required skills.
