Are you currently working as a Town Planner and looking for a new challenge? Would you love to be able to work flexibly as part of a successful business that offers attractive rewards and career development opportunities? If so, and you’re a commercially minded and ambitious planning professional, then this is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Gladman.

What will the role entail?

You will be working as part of the Gladman team providing planning advice and helping make decisions about which projects we decide to take on. The role will involve preparing site planning appraisals, advising on the planning merit of sites and providing general planning advice to senior colleagues and the senior management team. You will also be involved in reviewing and signing off appraisals prepared by our graduate team.

What key qualities and skills will I need for the role?

  • You must be working towards or be MRTPI or equivalent qualified (such as RICS).
  • You must have at least 2 years post degree experience working in the planning sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Ability to engage with people from a range of backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to reach firm conclusions.
  • Results driven and self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively using own initiative, with minimal supervision but also as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

What will I receive in return?

You will be joining a business with a stable history and a longstanding workforce, where you will benefit from support and training, and have excellent opportunities for further career development and progression.

Attractive Benefits: Complimentary lunch daily at our on-site bistro, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 5% employer pension contributions, private healthcare, Wellness programme and a wide variety of social events.

Hours of Work: 40 hour working week, with flexible start and finish times around the core hours. Ability to work compressed hours, resulting in working a 9-day fortnight. A reduced hour or part time role will be considered for the right candidate.
