Building Control Surveyor - RICS / CABE / MBEng / CIOB

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a Surrey based Local Authority. You will be joining up with an established team of surveyors, in need of 1 member of additional staff. The contract will run for an initial 3 months, with extension possible based on experience.

About You

Ideally, you will be professionally accredited to RICS, CABE MBEng or CIOB standard. Nevertheless, whilst this is desirable, the client has highlighted that he will also consider candidates working towards their professional accreditations or candidates with a wealth of experience. The experience you have should be both relevant and recent within Building Control; this can be in the form of working in either Local Authorities or Approved Inspectors. The client would like a character who is both hard working and a great communicator.

About the Role

In relation to the Local Authority, you will be handling:

• Incorporating residential, commercial and retail schemes from commencement through to completion
• It will also include the checking of some building designs and drawings for compliance with the Building Regulations
• Carrying out site inspections ensuring it conforms to the Building Standards
