Job Details
I'm working on a fantastic opportunity with a local authority in North West, who are hoping to bring on a Planning Officer on a contract basis. This position has become available due to an influx in workload, and you will be helping out permanent members of staff at the council by working on a caseload of planning applications. It is anticipated that this contract will last for an initial 3 months, but it is likely to be extended if you get on well.
To this end, it is important that you have working experience with a local authority in development management and can come in and hit the ground running without too much supervision.
The rate for this position will vary depending on your experience relevant to the position and working arrangements/hours. If you are unsure what sort of rate you should be asking for or would like clarification on this, please give me a call or drop me an email and I would be happy to advise.
Ideally the council are looking for a Planner who can work 37 hours a week, with 4/5 days in the office, though flexible working can be negotiated.
