Principal Policy Planner
My client based in East Essex is looking for a Principal Policy Planner to join their team and assist them for an initial contract of 3 months, with the likely potential for extension. My client can offer flexible working arrangements, pay rates are dependant on experience and this role is INSIDE IR35.
The Council has an approved Local Plan and will require a partial review early next year. The roles will support the co-ordination of the work of three local plan specialists, working amongst committee services, policy and communications colleagues.
Experience in S106, CIL and Nuclear Power Plants is essential. You must be proficient in Office 365 - OneDrive and SharePoint. The role will require you to work with the Place strategy lead to ensure work is supported. Work is to be progressed amongst the Policy team, including, S106 management and control, CIL, a Local Housing Needs Assessment and Neighbourhood plans.
To be considered for this role you will require a degree in Planning or a relevant subject and Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), RICS). You should also have proven experience working on S106 and CIL in the UK and knowledge to hit the ground running with little to no supervision.
