PLANNING MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF PLANNING

Award winning regional housebuilder, Hopkins Homes is seeking a confident and self-motivated individual to join the existing planning team based in Woodbridge covering East Anglia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s planning functions liaising with Local Planning Authorities and a range of external consultants. The role will involve negotiating, preparing, managing and submitting major planning applications and robust policy responses as this growing company seeks to deliver commercially viable housing led schemes ranging from 3 to 1500 plots throughout the East Anglia region. Furthermore, providing both planning advice on new land acquisitions and active management of the existing sizeable medium to long term strategic land portfolio to determine the planning strategy and promotion to seek
development designation at the earliest opportunity.

The candidate should demonstrate a good planning knowledge and have at least two years’ experience in this role or similar in the residential sector, preferably MRTPI qualified although this is not essential. Excellent communication skills both written and oral and an ability to analyse and negotiate at a high level are also required.
