Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a successful independent consultancy in Essex on the hire of an Assistant Planner.
Based in Essex, but with projects nationwide, our client offers the highest standards of client care and professional planning advice. Holding extensive knowledge & experience our client boasts a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant regulations and legislation.
Our client has a diverse client base that includes landowners, developers, and public sector clients and as such can offer a truly varied portfolio of projects. These projects can fall into the Affordable Housing, Commercial, Education, Leisure and Tourism, Listed Buildings & Conservation, Masterplans & Strategic Planning, Mixed Use, Residential and Retirement Living sectors.
Working within an experienced team of 8 you will effectively communicate, negotiate and mediate on behalf of your client keeping them informed along the way. You will assist in providing a range of planning and development services that include;
-Planning Permissions, Appeals and enforcement
-Planning and Development Appraisals
-Public and Stakeholder Consultation
-Listed Buildings and Conservation
-Strategic Land
-Policy, Briefs and Masterplans
-Project Co-ordination
In order to apply you will hold/demonstrate;
-RTPI accredited degree
-Be working towards MRTPI status
-2 years+ planning experience (ideally including experience from the private sector)
-Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
-Positive attitude and a team player
