Project Manager - Economic Development - North London
  • 3-6months
  • £30-32 per hour

Our client urgently require an experienced Prince 2 Property Project Manager to join an exciting project, creating work spaces for organisations that return social value as part of their commitment to help give small local businesses a good grounding and support residents into work and training opportunities.

The successful candidate will be joining the second phase of the project, ensuring that the acquired spaces are converted to functional and accessible spaces for small businesses to thrive.

They should have strong financial management skills, managing different funding streams and how they are spent within the project (and reporting to the GLA), and good project governance to manage decision monitoring and accountability. They should be confident chairing meetings with high level stake holders and elected members as well as contributing to community engagement/employment activities in conjunction with the communications and Islington Working teams.

This project will require knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to setting up new work-spaces, and be confident in sourcing contractors to ensure this is adhered to (EG the fitting of lifts, for multi level premises).

This role involves several different departments within the council, such as planning and housing and so will provide a chance for the right candidate to shine, and open up further opportunities once this project has been completed.
