Group Manager - Highways/Parking/Traffic

A London based client of mine is looking for a Group Manager to cover the Highways department.

The Role

Your role will require you to lead and manage the Highways, Traffic and Parking service lines and monitor performance levels to ensure that the services are running as efficiently as possible. You will also be tasked with leading, developing and implementing effective policies, procedures and monitoring systems that complement and interface with the Customer Relationship Management system which result in high quality service outputs and tangible service developments and improvements.

Should your application be successful you will be working closely with and directly reporting to the Head of Environment. You will also have line management responsibility for the Parking and Design Schemes Manager, Highways DSO Manager, NRSW Manager, Principle Projects and Planned Maintenance Manager, Reactive Maintenance & Street Lighting Manager and the Parking Enforcement Manager.

You will also have budget responsibility for circa. £5m Capital and £10m revenue and a diverse complement of staff (around 100 staff members) as well as responsibility for a range of high value contracts.

About You

As the post-holder, you should have significant experience of successfully leading and managing Highways, Traffic and Parking services which should include leading and implementing service change programmes to improve and streamline outcomes. Your experience should also extend to the management of large, multi-disciplined teams and show a strong track record in successfully procuring, managing and delivering large scale contracts.

Experience of leading the delivery of projects/schemes from inception to completion and overseeing all stages of the process including development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and review will be essential.
