Are you an experienced and enthusiastic individual who is able to provide effective leadership of our Development Management and Enforcement Service? Do you want to work in a friendly and supportive organisation and enjoy excellent working relationships with elected members?

You will be working with and leading an experienced and committed team of planners, currently handling around 1,800 planning applications a year and rising. Providing high quality pre-application advice to potential applicants and timely decision making. You will be responsible for providing the lead on negotiations with developers and all other matters raised in the day to day running of the service. In addition you should be able to manage a diverse and challenging workload of your own. There will be considerable scope for personal development in terms of the flexibility of the role and the range of work.

With considerable Development Management experience, you will have achieved full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and have a recognised degree (or equivalent qualification) and/or significant experience in planning.
