Planning Officer - North East Local Authority - Rate Negotiable DOE + Flexible Working

Following a recent surge of planning applications, a local authority based in the North East are seeking a competent planning officer. The successful applicant will be tasked with covering a range of minor and householder applications.

Key responsibilities:
  • Typically processing a varied range of planning applications with approximately 40 caseloads
  • Covering minor and householder applications
  • You will be required to hit the ground running by working closely with the Development Management team and also independently


Desirable skills and experience:
  • Degree / RTPI accredited desirable, though not essential
  • Recent experience within a local authority processing planning applications


Contract Details:
  • The contract is outlined for an initial two months, with the likelihood of extension.
  • You will be required to be in the office for 37 hours, with the potential for flexible working.
  • Rate is negotiable DOE
