The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is growing a team of professional, engaged individuals to deliver our vision for an inclusive, globally competitive city region at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse.   This is an exciting time for us, having successfully negotiated and secured a Devolution Agreement with Government and elected the City Region’s first ever metro Mayor.

Yet, like all post-industrial cities, we need to work hard to ensure the benefits reach all citizens.

The Spatial Planning team are responsible for the development of the first City Region Spatial Development Strategy which will be instrumental in shaping the development of the City Region.

As the successful candidate you will work to support the Head of Spatial Planning supporting the Combined Authority’s (CA) activity with regard spatial planning including the development of the Liverpool City Region Spatial Development Strategy. You will undertake planning policy research, policy development and management of any such policy development and research.

Candidates will need a strong understanding of the context and environment that the Combined Authority operates and will be able to demonstrate experience of spatial planning policy development.
