Are you a Town Planner at the early stages of career, keen to take the next step by joining a supportive consultancy with fantastic projects and national reach?

I am seeking a Town Planner with approximately 1-3 years' experience (defined by salary range of circa £24k - £30k) to join a consultancy with offices in the heart Nottingham city centre.

Your experience could have been gained as an assistant or graduate planner at a LPA, as a contractor in short term positions or as a trainee planning consultant with another private firm or housebuilder. You may even have gained your experience through a university year in industry. Whatever your background, my client is keen to hear about you and your interest in working for their successful and expanding outfit.

The Midlands is a growth hotspot, not only in the residential sector but also in terms of employment land, commercial and office space developments, new and upgraded educational establishments, leisure and tourism, development of public sector facilities and much more. As a Town Planner in 2019, the Midlands is an attractive place to be with significant pipelines of work, every opportunity to progress you career, and still a relatively affordable place to live and socialise.

In working for this consultancy, you will be given access to a wide range of projects, be a key part of the team, supported, mentored and trained to a very high standard and given every opportunity for progression and promotion over time.

About you:

  • 1 - 3 years' Town Planning experience in any planning environment;
  • an good undergraduate or masters degree that will enable you to achieve MRTPI status;
  • a planning applications or policy background;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • a positive work ethic and oodles of enthusiasm for your work;
  • a full UK driving licence and, ideally, access to your own car;
  • the desire to live and work in Nottingham, but with opportunities to travel across the east and west Midlands.

In return you will receive a competitive starting salary within the range of £24k - £30k although if you have 3 years' experience and/or you are already chartered, there is flexibility at the top end. You will be enrolled into the generous company pension scheme and receive an array of other benefits as well as HMRC mileage rates for the use of your own car.

If this position sparks your interest and you would like to apply or know more about the company then please get in touch.

Apply below or give Claire a call on 07983 143 831 or 020 7859 4246. Alternatively, send your CV to claire@lewisdavey.com including a contact number so that I can get in touch with you.

Please note that we will endeavour to review your application within two weeks and if there is interest in your candidacy, a Consultant will be in touch. Unfortunately, due to the significant amount of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback so if you have not heard from us within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.  Thank you for your interest.
